Hey There, Beautiful Soul! I'm Lisa Magdalena

Welcome to my cosy, plant-filled, crystal-adorned peaceful boho world.

Imagine it: my boho houseboat sanctuary nestled inside a nature reserve where I feel most alive, surrounded by the loving energy of nature itself.

As a coach deeply rooted in Jungian psychology, I specialise in mindset shifts, archetype development, loving boundaries, emotional healing, and earthy spirituality. My journey has led me to embrace the power of these methods, and I'm passionate about sharing their transformative magic with you.

I'm not just a coach—I embody the very principles I teach. I find solace and inspiration in the arms of Mother Earth, being emotionally Independent and my furry friends ~ Lady Lilibet Of Downton Tabby, Baby Cheeses, Cat Stevens & Mr Pudding.

I refuse to be confined by society's boxes and norms. Instead, I challenge them and encourage others to break free as well.

My boho paradise on my houseboat is a reflection of my inner world—a sanctuary adorned with lush houseplants, sparkling crystals, various hats and loads of macrame :)). It emanates a healing vibe that resonates with the depths of my soul. To nourish my spirit, I immerse myself in empowering music from luminaries like Stevie Nicks, Kate Bush, Cat Stevens as well as shamanic healing and Solfeggio frequencies.

I delight in feeding ducklings around my boat, welcoming visits from playful seals and watching Mother Nature cycles of change. And let's not forget the simple joys of sitting out on the deck enjoying good food and good wine with good friends! Making others happy brings me immense joy, and I believe in the power of positive energy

This is me...

I’m a Jungian Psychology Archetypologist, Spiritual Badass,  Empath, Intuitive and Great Hugger.

My day starts on deck, watching the sunrise over the nature reserve with ducks quacking, seals honking, and sails flapping as the breeze ripples through the willows.

My home is filled with crystals, plants, macrame, art, books and incense.  I’ve always got some 70s rock classics playing in the background.   Steve Nicks and Kate Bush are my musical soulmates.   You will likely hear them playing in the background during our coaching sessions.

I am proud of my wild heart and free spirit.

I know the crippling feeling of not feeling good enough,

I’ve believed the lies of players and crashed and burned a few times.

I live for the beach, the trees, sunrises and sunsets,  animals, good friends and crackling log fires.

I love road trips and adventures in Stevie, my campervan.

I confess to too many late-night eBay purchases bought with red wine.

My Qualifications

Growing up as a third-generation Jehovah's Witness, I faced a lot of hardships. The pain of being shunned by my own family was overwhelming. But that wasn't the only struggle. When I was just two years old, my father's refusal of a life-saving blood transfusion cost him his life, making him the first in legal and medical history.  This event, coupled with the abuse I endured at the hands of a fellow JW, created an unhappy and unsafe childhood.

At the age of 16, I made a courageous decision to run away, knowing that it was better to face the uncertainty of homelessness than to remain in their traumatic and controlling grip. It was during this vulnerable time being homeless that a compassionate "worldly" person showed me kindness and understanding opening my eyes that the world outside the JWs was not the enemy I was led to believe. After he rescued me from a bad situation, I got myself to safety, secured employment, and eventually found an apartment.

Life continued to test my resilience. I married a man who turned out to be even more controlling than a Jehovah's Witness elder. Despite the difficulties, we were blessed with two beautiful daughters. However, during the birth of my first daughter, I faced a life-threatening situation that required a blood transfusion. Accepting this treatment went against everything I had been taught as a former JW. However, I listened to my instincts and chose to live for the sake of my daughter.

Tragedy struck again when I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease, cancer of the blood, at the age of 28. Enduring grueling treatments and a full stem cell transplant, I needed nine blood transfusions to survive. If I had remained a Jehovah's Witness, I wouldn't be here today, sharing my story and doing the work that I do.

Surviving this battle became a turning point for me. I began to examine the deep unhappiness that had plagued me for so long. Behind the facade of a seemingly content and composed woman, I carried the weight of misery and discontentment within my own home. I knew I had to break free from the toxic and abusive cycle of my marriage. It was a difficult decision, but I mustered the strength to escape.

As I embarked on a journey of self-improvement, I explored various modalities such as jungian psychology, archetypes, mindfulness, meditation, and mindset work. These transformative practices changed my life in profound ways. I felt a deep calling to learn the professional skills, training, and qualifications required to help other exjws determined to succeed after their JW experience. So, I went back to school and university to equip myself with every qualification necessary to make a difference as an exJW therapist.

For the past 23 years, I have dedicated my life to exjw therapy by helping exJWs find their path to complete recovery and create the happy, fulfilling lives they deserve. My journey is a testament to the power of exJW courage, healing, and growth. Today, I live on a houseboat surrounded by nature and animals that bring me joy. I am grateful for the company of my loving partner, three cheeky cats, a cute little dog, and dear friends who share in life's simple pleasures with me.

Breaking free from the indoctrination of Jehovah's Witnesses was not easy, but it was undeniably worth it. I am immensely proud of the work I do and the lives of exJWs I have helped transform. Now, it's your turn to embark on a journey of self-discovery and claim your own exJW success story. Together, we can bring healing, joy, and fulfillment to your life.

I invite you to join me for an exJW therapy session and take the first step towards your very own exjw success story.

How I became the Emotional Intelligence Expert

I was born into a Cult that killed my Dad when I was two.

He refused a blood transfusion due to its crazy rules.

I was left to grow up in an abusive household.

By the time I was 16, I’d had enough and ran away.

I was so hopeful to change my story.  Unfortunately, a few years later, I was in a destructive marriage.  Before I could escape the toxicity - I contracted cancer when the youngest of my two daughters was just a baby.

Terrified, I battled two years of gruelling chemotherapy ending with a full stem cell transplant; when it happened...The Wake Up Call.

As I gripped onto the bathroom sink in UCH Hospital, London, in my hospital gown, weak and swollen with steroids, I had no hair and a body that could barely stand.

I caught myself in the mirror.

Physically I was at my lowest.

And yet, as I looked into my eyes in the mirror, I saw an incredible strength.  I wasn’t ready to die.  I had to find my path to the extraordinary life I had always craved.

It took all I had to claw myself back to physical health.  Once I did, I studied my academic psychology craft at a British University, earning a Bachelors Degree with Honours.

I finally felt the worst was behind me, only to land in the arms of a man I thought I adored.  He wasn’t my first narcissist, but he was my last.

⠀

After five years of Narcissist Abuse, I was left with an empty house, a broken heart, and what felt like a broken soul.  It was freaking painful; I wanted to die. ⠀

Finally I allowed my love-starved soul to be nurtured by me

I had to go back to basics, let go and forgive the past.

I needed to rediscover a healthy, loving relationship with myself and recover a sense of inner peace that didn't depend on being loved by another.

The Quest For Emotional Intelligence led me to an incredible journey of discovery.

Each time I go deep into the Trenches, I rediscover treasures and release more of the old.  And each time I return to you, I am more authentic and with powerful new insights to share.

If you can relate, and know that I am the push you need to shake off the drama and forge a path to delight and satisfaction, then it's time we made a plan.
